Rex Barnett Edmondson was born on January 7, 1961, to Bessie Vaughn Edmondson and Herschel Raymond Edmondson in Dickson, Tennessee. He loved dancing and singing to all types of music and never met a stranger. He was a carefree and loving person. He departed this world on May 24, 2025, at NHC in Dickson under the care of Caris Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his father: Herschel Edmondson; his mother: Bessie Vaughn Edmondson; his brothers: June and Thomas Edmondson; his sisters: Maxine Kelley and Bessie Elizabeth Sadler; his nieces: Amanda Kelley and Rael Williams; and his nephews: Phillip Lee Primm, Thomas Edmondson, Jr., and Jacoby Williams.
He is survived by his brothers: Michael Edmondson (Mary Ann) of Burns, TN, Jerome Edmondson of Las Vegas, NV; sisters: Tammy Edmondson and Cindy Hays both of Burns, TN; his uncle: Doug Edmondson (Sandy) of Akron, OH; his aunt: Corrine Young of Akron, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews. His dedicated brother, Michael; sister-in-law, Mary Ann; and niece, Veronica Edmondson.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 12 noon at the Edmondson Cemetery in Charlotte, TN. A public viewing will take place on Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. https://taylorsince1909.com
