Rocco Wayne Delnegro, age 76, of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.
He was born on August 2, 1946, in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
Rocco was an Army Veteran and retired as an engineer with United Technologies. He was a foster dad and a CNA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dickson TN, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Nashville Stamp Club.
He loved fishing and camping and food! He was a man of faith and blessed many with his kindness, love, and laughter. One of his favorite verses was Galatians 6:9-10; “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
His wonderful life will be forever cherished by his loving wife of seventeen years, Nelda Whynot-Delnegro, as well as his children; Kimberly Delnegro, Kalee Plasse and her husband, Eric, Karen Sanchez and her husband, Victor and Rocco Wayne Delnegro, Jr. Also, his stepchildren; Nicole Lacasse, L. Daniel Sevigny and his wife, Jennifer, Ernest Sevigny, Marshall Sevigny, and Rochelle Boufford and her husband, Justin. He also will be remembered and loved by his seventeen grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as his sister Vicki Nelson and her husband, Lonnie.
Rocco was predeceased by Sharon Delnegro, wife and mother of their four children as well as his parents, Ciro James Delnegro, Sr. and Harriet Sherman Delnegro and his brother, Ciro James “Sarge” Delnegro, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Visiting begins at 1:00 pm at Spann Funeral Home. Masonic Service will be conducted at 1:30 pm and the Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm.
