Sharon “Shirley” Jean Turner Bell was the daughter to the late Clarence Turner and Mildred Box. She was born on May 27, 1939 in Dickson, Tennessee, and departed this life on March 12, 2024.

She received her high school diploma in Gary, Indiana, and worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her sister (Marjorie) and playing games. She professed her faith in Christ at a very early age and sang in the choir as a longtime member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Turner, her sister, Florence Bell, and her son, Anthony Bell Sr.; and grandson, Shamar Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her memories, 5 children, Lejuan Hornbeak, Malcom Bell, and Spencer Bell (Erica), Towona Bell Wilderness, and LaRosa Humble (Michael); 3 sisters, Marjorie Dobbins, Theresa Sparkman, and Ada Bell, 2 brothers, Keith Turner (Lisa), and Ivan Turner (Terri); 27 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of devoted nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Following the service, Ms. Bell will be cremated. A service will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church at a later date. https://taylorsince1909.com
