Terry Fay Wren, age 83, of Charlotte, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at NHC in Dickson, Tennessee.

Terry was born on March 23, 1939 in White Bluff, Tennessee.

After graduating from White Bluff High School, he went to work for Turner Engineering and served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He began a career in engineering with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, from where he retired after 36 years of service.

He is the son of the late Herbert Henry Wren and Lillian Beatrice “Tudlum” Howell Wren, and he is preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Wren and Gene Wren.

Survivors include his wife and best friend of over 50 years, Arlene Westcott Wren, his son, Steven Noel Wren (Megan), and his daughter, Terri Lea Wren Tennant (Lucas).

He also leaves behind the two brightest spots of his later years, his two grandsons, Hayden Noel Wren and Thomas Lucas “Luc” Tennant, whom he referred to as his “bunkins” and whom he loved more than anything.

Terry is also survived by his beloved and last remaining brother, Charles Wren.

He will be remembered as a loving and providing husband, father, and grandfather and as a good man and friend by all who knew him. He was extremely loved, and his loss is an irreparable void in his family’s life.

Visitation with the Wren family will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Immediate family will gather together at the Dickson Union Cemetery for a private graveside service. Pastor Wes Sesler will officiate.
