Vanessa Lynn Tucker, age 66 of Burns, TN departed on June 2, 2025. Vanessa was born on June 23, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Master of Business Administration from The University of Tennessee at Martin, became a Certified Public Accountant, and worked in accounting for many years before retiring from Tom James Company.
Above all, Vanessa treasured her role as a mother and grandmother – not only to her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but to anyone in her circle. She was a strong-willed, determined woman who faced life’s challenges with grit and grace, always standing firm in her beliefs and protecting those she loved. She was often found at the campground in her signature comfy clothes and big hat, spoiling her tiny dogs, Pearl and Opal. In retirement, she found great joy in crafting – spending countless hours under a bright light, meticulously completing intricate diamond art paintings.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Karl Lundborg Sr., and her dearly beloved children – her son, Adam Timothy Zangri, and her daughter, Andrea Raelynn Zangri – whose memories she carried with everlasting love.
Vanessa is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Roy Tucker; her mother, Aldena Tucker; siblings, Kelly Lundborg, Matthew Tucker, and Janilyn Tucker; her children, Michael Zangri (Ann), Cassie Tucker, and Cody Tucker (Natalie); 12 grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaelyn, Eli, Keeley, Maci, Scarlett, Anna, Brooklynn, Evelynn, Easton, Eden and Elliott; 4 great grandchildren, Raelynn, Athena, Lukas, and Jordan. Also surviving is her aunt, Modena Flahive; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Capps officiating. Her place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
