Vedell-Wall-Fiser

Mrs. Vedell Wall Fiser, age 92, of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee died peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was a native of Dickson County and was the daughter of the late Richard Lee and Mollie Ann Suggs Wall.

She was the widow of the late Joe G. Fiser, who died in 1991. Mrs. Fiser was preceded in death by her son; Joe Wayne Fiser, her brothers; Lewis Wall and Charles Wall and her sister; Noretta Dorton.

Mrs. Fiser was never afraid of work. For her, hard work was a very large part of being a servant to others. She worked in quality control with the former H.I.S. for some twenty years. After those years she decided to move forward working even more. She was a former cook with Duke’s Restaurant and The Lunch Box and finishing up her career as a cook with the Dickson County Jail. She served there for some nineteen years.

Vedell Fiser loved everyone she met and after meeting them they knew it. Her smile was so beautiful and loving. It showed in her face; her honesty and her loyalty. She was a genuine and a soft-spoken lady who showed strength throughout her years. She was loved by many; as she loved them and will be missed.

She is survived by her two daughters; Barbara Bruce of Cumberland Furnace, TN and Paula Rose of Cumberland Furnace, TN, her six grandchildren; Kelly Owen (BJ), Shannon Fiser (Barbara), Matt Bruce (Stacy), Lee Fiser, Desiree Walthall (David) and Luke McClendon, her eleven great-grandchildren, her brother; Curtis Wall of Cumberland Furnace, TN, her three sisters; Jean Gafford of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Ann Blaylock of Dickson, TN and Myra Givens of Dickson, TN, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 12 Noon from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Thomas Southerland will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Place of rest will be in the Cumberland Furnace Cemetery. http://taylorsince1909.com
