Vernon Ray “Cotton” Weaver, age 79 of Cumberland Furnace, TN., passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Signature Healthcare in Erin, TN.
He was born March 6, 1944, to Alver and Beatrice Ruth Winn Weaver.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He spent his career in the Construction Industry, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Visitation with the family will be conducted on Sunday from 4-8 pm at Spann Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Vernon Ray “Cotton” Weaver will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00 am, from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home, with Ty Weaver officiating. Interment will be conducted Monday at 1:00 pm at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
