Funeral services for Vicki Faye Vinson Crosby, age 70 of Burns, will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2021 from First Baptist Church with Michael Crockett officiating. Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until 4 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home and on Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.

Born in San Diego, California, Vicki was the daughter of the late Raymond R. and Dorothy Schollie Vinson.

She was also preceded by her stepmother, Pauline Vinson.

Vicki was a retired teacher at Oakmont Elementary School for the Dickson County Board of Education. She held membership in Dickson County Education Association, the Tennessee Education Association, and the National Education Association. Many will also remember her kind assistance when she worked for the former Volume One Bookstore/Hallmark. A breast cancer survivor, Vicki was active in Relay for Life and was a volunteer at Tri-Star Natchez. She and George were active members of Dickson’s First Baptist Church and its Faith Riders Motorcycle Ministry and Sunday School.

She is survived by her husband, George Crosby, Burns; two sons, Shannon Crosby (Kenzie), of Indiana, and Derek Crosby (Brooke), Dickson; a daughter, Michelle Crosby Hiers, Dickson; a sister, Debby Hibbs (Jim), Shelbyville, TN; eight grandchildren, Dean, Joshua, Levi, Samuel, and Gracelyn Crosby, Dylan McLaughlin, Paige McLaughlin, and Addi King; great-grandson, Hanson Pinnix; step-siblings, Tim Baldwin (Carol), Joe Baldwin (Celia), and Debi Greer; nephew, Andrew Hibbs (Emily); niece Victoria Mooneyhan (John); great-nephew, Luke Mooneyhan.
