Wanda Kay Winfrey Taylor, age 74 of White Bluff, passed from this life on February 23, 2025, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.
She was born on May 21, 1950, in Nashville, to the late Albert Earl Winfrey and Edna Lorene Lindsey Winfrey.
Wanda worked in the banking industry, retiring from F&M Bank after many years of service.
She was a loyal person through and through. She was loyal to her family, having been married to her husband, James, for over 54 years, and she was loyal to her church, as she was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church for her whole life. Wanda was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, sibling and friend. Her hobbies included cooking for others, reading and knitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Billy Winfrey; and her infant sister Pam Winfrey.
Survivors include her husband: James Doyle Taylor, Sr. of White Bluff; her children: James Doyle Taylor, Jr. “Jamie” (Angela) of McEwen, Matthew Bryan Taylor (Desiree) of Medina, Martha Lorene Wiley (Shane) of White Bluff; her grandchildren: Jay Taylor of White Bluff, Addison Grace Taylor of McEwen, Austin Newsom of Medina, Katlyn Knight (Preston) of Cross Plains, Ryleigh Taylor of Medina, William Luke Wiley of White Bluff, Justin Doyle Wiley of White Bluff, and Lyndsey Nicole Fleaner of Dickson; one great-grandson: Sladen Newsom; and her siblings: Braxton Winfrey, Danny Winfrey (Robbie), Kathleen Miller (Bill), Joyce Lewis (Clay), Mildred Sullivan, Peggy Osborne, Brenda Scmittou, Becky Swaw, and Linda Gray.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 12 noon at the Bible Baptist Church in White Bluff with Bro. Stephen Breese and Bro. Donny Hutchison officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. https://taylorsince1909.com
