Wayne R. Frey, age 66, of Charlotte, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024.
He was born September 15, 1957 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Howard Frey and Dorothy Ann Coppedge Frey.
Wayne grew up in St. Bethlehem, graduated from Clarksville High School, then attended Nashville State Technical Institute. He moved to Nashville in 1984, and over the years worked as an office equipment service tech, satellite installer, a brakeman and truck owner/operator.
Wayne was funny and playful, a big kid, a prankster, a storyteller, and infinitely curious. He was an avid UT football and Braves baseball fan, a lifetime golfer, and a railroad modeler and railfan. Most of all, he loved his family and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Fred Frey and sister Janice Poer, all his aunts and uncles; and survived by his wife Connie Jones, children: Matthew Frey and Jennifer Morrison (Taylor), grandchildren: Brooklin, Presley, Kesler and Kyler Frey and Oakley Morrison, and nephews, nieces and many cousins. Wayne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
