Originally from Kingston Springs, James Everett ‘Jimmy’ Dunn Jr. was the son of the late Connie Gail Street Dunn and the late James Everett Dunn, Sr.

He worked in the procurement office for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte. Jimmy was a talented artist of action figures and comic characters. He loved comic books, action figures, and reading in general.

His dream was to draw for the Disney Corporation and he had actually submitted material to them for consideration when he was still a student. They invited him to re-submit when he came of age, but by that time he was involved in other ventures.

Jimmy was a very witty person and could instantly come up with quips for any occasion. He enjoyed trips to Disney World and going to live performances at TPAC. He was an avid Predators fan and above all, he loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Mires Dunn of Charlotte; two aunts, Jenny Stringer and Kathy Dunn; an uncle, James L. Street, all of Kingston Springs; and his special cat, “Sassy.”

He was preceded by his parents, a sister, Christy Dunn; his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for James E. “Jimmy” Dunn, Jr., age 52 of Charlotte, will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Herndon officiating. Burial in the Scott Cemetery will happen at a later date. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, from 4 until 8 pm and on Sunday from noon until service time. https://taylorsince1909.com
