Chief Seth Lyles and the City of Dickson Police Department welcomes Officer Cain Smith.
Cain Smith happily calls Charlotte, Tennessee, his hometown. After graduating from Creek Wood High School in 2010, he attended Cumberland University, where he not only played football but also earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2014.
From a young age, Cain felt a strong pull towards law enforcement. In 2017, he took on the role of a patrol officer with the City of Dickson Police Department, where he discovered his true passion for serving people and his community. After a five-year break from law enforcement, Cain felt a heartfelt calling to return to protect and serve the community he loves in Dickson, TN.
Cain shares a wonderful life with his wife, Morgan Smith, and takes immense pride in being the father of three amazing boys.
Officer Smith will complete the Dickson Police Department’s Field Training Program and a Transition School at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy later this spring.
