Barbara Jean Spicer, beloved daughter of Joe and Alma (Deal) Thomas, was born on October 19, 1960, in Fairview, TN. She passed away on March 28, 2024, at her residence in White Bluff, TN. Barbara’s warm presence and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
Barbara was a very proud mother to her sons Aedan (Brandon) Whitaker-Meeker, Jerry (Heather) Whitaker, and Dalton Ballard. Her grandchildren Landon, Tegan, Lyiah, Nyle, and Lyle filled her life with joy and laughter. She was engaged to Kevin Ballard, who brought immense happiness into her life.
Known for her unwavering loyalty and witty sense of humor, Barbara was also a hardworking individual who always prioritized others before herself. Her hobbies included playing bingo, cooking delicious meals, tending to her garden with love, and indulging in the art of coloring. A cup of coffee in hand often accompanied her as she enjoyed these simple pleasures.
In addition to her immediate family members, Barbara is survived by her brother Alan (Rita) Spicer, sisters Linda Buie and Dawn Patrick.
She is predeceased by her siblings Nancy Tanksley, Wayne Spicer, Elizabeth Cantrell, and PeeWee.
The visitation for Barbara will be held at Dickson Funeral Home- Fairview Chapel on April 17th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. https://www.dicksonfuneralhome.com
