Billy Joe “BJ” Sensing, age 41 of White Bluff, TN passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024.
BJ was born on September 5, 1983 in Dickson, TN.
He was a 2001 graduate of Dickson County High School. He had many talents and was always willing to help people in need. One of his most rewarding endeavors was working for the Dept. of Corrections in Humphreys County where he found the opportunity to assist and encourage people during a difficult time.
BJ’s personality was full of humor, he had a love for making everybody laugh and he excelled at that. He was also attracted to many genres of music. Some of his favorites were Oasis, Elvis, and Blue October. GO BIG ORANGE! BJ was a huge Vols Fan. He was a former Titans fan, right up to the moment just before the fire in his back yard. He was an avid griller, and loved playing video games with his sons.
Overall, BJ just loved people, he loved his family, and he loved his dog, Whitley. It was this love that led him to start a journey to sobriety. A courageous journey that was difficult, for both him and those he loved. May his final legacy be an encouragement to face and overcome difficult times in our lives.
BJ was preceded in death by some special people including his sister, Breanna Sensing; his grandparents, Anita & Ed Wills, James & Sara Emma Sensing; his uncle, Dennis Wills.
BJ is lovingly survived by his wife, Windy Jarman Sensing; his parents, Roger Dale Sensing (Gina), and Lynn Wills Norden (David); his sons, Austin Sensing (Ashley), Logan Sensing, Tatum Dotson (Riley), Bailey Dotson; his sister, Twylita Mansfield (Danny); brothers, Cody Brown, and Braxton Brown. Also surviving is BJ’s childhood friend/brother, Marshall Jones, as well as numerous nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Danny Mansfield speaking, and memories shared by family and friends. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. For those desiring, memorials may be made to assist with final expenses. https://taylorsince1909.com
