Charles August Borden of Dickson, TN, passed away on July 30, 2021. He was born on October 29, 1934, to the late William E. and Alice Borden.
Husband to the late Maria Del Carmen R. Borden. Loving Stepfather to Judith A. (Dwayne) Shumaker Young, Daniel P. (Heather) Costello, Robert P. Costello, and Tamara M. Costello. Grandfather to Sean, Nathan, Joshua, Jacob, Luke, Brianna, Daniel P. Jr., Carmen, Charlie, Kaela, Bobby, and Elijah. Great-Grandfather of Cadi, Finn, Arrow, Kaleb, and Ian. Younger brother to his surviving sister Helen Wagner of Chilesburg, VA.
Chuck was a Sargent in the U.S. Marines; he served from July 1, 1952, to June 30, 1955; his service included serving in the Korean War as an aircraft engineer. He also had long careers with EG&G as an electronics supervisor and as a stock and shipping attendant for Walmart.
The family will hold a private service at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
