David-Eugene-Ward

With great sorrow and fond remembrance, we say goodbye to David Eugene Ward, known affectionately by many as “Dave,” who passed away on May 23, 2024.

Born on March 13, 1959, in Akron, OH, David was a vibrant soul who epitomized a life lived to the fullest.

David was an adventurous spirit, always seeking new experiences and challenges. His love for the great outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing and hunting. His charismatic personality and the twinkle in his eye were never more pronounced than when he was telling tales of his expeditions. He was also an avid golfer, his sense of humor and witty banter often the highlight of the golf course. As Oscar Wilde once said, “Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about,” and David Ward certainly embodied this sentiment.

Despite his love for adventure, David was also a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His funny and jovial nature was never more evident than during his time at the casino, where he was known to be the life of the party. However, David’s world revolved around his family. He was a loving son, husband, and father who would do anything to bring a smile to his loved ones’ faces. His love was unwavering and his devotion, absolute.

There are no services planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations be made to the funeral expenses using the crowd funding section at the bottom of the obituary page. https://www.spannfuneralhome.com
