James “Ray” Tuberville, age 75, of Vanleer, TN, passed from this life on the evening of January 10, 2023, in his home surrounded by family.
He was born on September 3, 1947, in Dickson, TN, to the late Jessie Lee and Bonnie Leigh Fleet Tuberville.
Ray had worked for years as a farmer and for Stokes Lumber Company. He truly had a heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Cindy Tuberville Collette.
Survivors include his wife of over 36 years: Betty Tuberville, of Vanleer; his sons: James Tuberville (Peyton) of Charlotte, Jessie Tuberville (Barbara), of Dickson, Lewis Tuberville (Tammy), of Middlesboro, KY, Chris Love, of Vanleer, and Dale Tuberville (Morgan), of Vanleer; his daughter: Dreama Couch (Carlos), of Delphia, KY; his brothers: Jessie “Bubblegum” Tuberville, of Waverly, Steven “Fat Pappy” Tuberville (Sandy), Carl “Dick” Tuberville (Elaine), and Jerry “Mouse” Tuberville, all of Vanleer; as well as 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Breeden officiating. Visitation with the family will take place on Sunday, January 15, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Waynick Cemetery.
