Mrs. Jane Reynolds Edwards was born December 6, 1954 at Camp Pendleton, California, while her father was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jane was also a Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force for a little over 4 years. During her service, she was selected as “Top Airman Of The Year”.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Belmont University. Jane worked in the banking industry in Nashville, TN. She was instrumental in building Nashville’s CapStar Bank. She was actively involved in the ministry at the First Baptist Church of Dickson. She served on the church personnel committee for many years. Jane loved horses; she would start her day at 5 AM to begin the chores of taking care of her horse. She would then work until 6 PM and often spent evening hours working for her church. She was a polished public speaker.
She enjoyed her life with her husband, Tom who served in the U.S. Army. Their journey lasted over 39 years. She and Tom were able to have many adventures and travel to many destinations. Jane never let life go by without loving every minute of it.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Calvin Reynolds and Velma Shawler Reynolds.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Howard Edwards; her son, Thomas Martin Edwards (Erica); brother, Steve Reynolds; sister, Gerry Browder; two grandchildren, Max Edwards (U.S. Air Force), and Rowan Edwards; stepdaughter, Michelle McNabb; step-granddaughter, Sloan McNabb; step-grandson, Ian McNabb; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Her final place of rest will be in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, at a later date. https://taylorsince1909.com
