Joyce L. Karnes, age 75 of Dickson, TN died on August 10, 2021.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Waynick Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
Joyce was born on January 22, 1946 in Granite City, Illinois. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence Alfred LaRose and Mildred Louise Blankenship LaRose. She had worked as an insurance agent and as a caregiver for Developmental Services of Dickson County. She had attended services at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie Lee LaRose, and John Henry LaRose; and grandparents, Oda Blankenship and Ida Blankenship.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Morrison (Keith) of Rio Rancho, NM, Jenny Street (Christi) of Canyon Lake, TX, Trista Stevens (Rich) of Dickson, TN; sisters, Sandy Underhill (Johnny) of Dickson, TN, Mary Buttrey (Paul) of Fairview, TN, Becky Donegan (Bill) of Dickson, TN, Gayle Work (David) of Dickson, TN, Wendy LaRose of Dickson, TN; 3 grandchildren; Logan Stevens, Blake Orsak, Jessica Orsak, 4 step-grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
