Louis Michael “Mike” Crutcher, age 76 of Burns, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of his home on March 2, 2025.
He was born on April 11, 1948, in Hazard, KY, to the late Everette Crutcher and Laura Browning Crutcher.
Mike served his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. After his service in the Marines, Mike served the states of Kentucky and Tennessee, working with the Department of Corrections for over 32 years combined. He loved to travel and ride his Harley with his wife Patricia “Trish” Crutcher. Mike always had a love for photography and took many photos during his travel adventures. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile, snarky humor and manning the grill on Memorial Day.
Mike loved his family, as he and his cousins were as thick as thieves. The stories they could tell, but maybe shouldn’t. He was also a very generous man, having donated to charities and disaster relief quite frequently, always willing to help those in need. He was loved very much by those that knew him and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Kerry Crutcher.
He leaves behind his wife: Patricia Crutcher and many cousins. Also surviving are 4 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Taylor Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. A funeral service with Military Honors will be held at Maggard Funeral Home in Hazard, KY, at a later date.
