Timothy Maurice Holt, age 60, of Burns, TN, entered into eternal rest on Thursday night, February 27, 2025.
Tim was born on April 29, 1964, in Dickson, TN to the late Roy E. Holt and Mary Allie Sanders Holt.
Tim had an overwhelming kind and loving spirit toward anyone he met. For seventeen years he went to DAFA House. He took his sobriety very seriously and had been sober for seventeen years, going on eighteen years, the day of his upcoming birthday. Through God, family, friends, the DAFA House Family in Dickson, TN, he was able to achieve so many things.
Tim worked faithfully with several construction companies in Nashville. Recently, he had found his dream job through a good friend, Shawn Baker, at Freeman’s Recovery, until his health began to fail. Tim was an over achiever in his love for working on the yard, cutting trees, doing concrete work, laying bricks, power washing; always saying “I did it again.”
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his daughter; Cuornisha Kenya Northington and his brother; Gazelle Holt.
He is survived by his wife; Kertrina Holt of Burns, TN, step-sons; Tracy Vaughn (Dawn) of Columbia, TN, Jokobe Russell (Stephanie) of Columbia, TN, his brothers, Michael Holt (Lori) of Nashville, TN, Kenny Holt of Dickson, TN, Melvin Holt (Christy) of Dickson, TN, his sisters, Minister Paula Overton of Dickson, TN, whom he had a special love for, Debbie Atkins (Ricky) of Martin, TN, Diane Fitts of Nashville, TN, his grandchildren, Drequan Vaughn of Jackson, TN, Shavonna Vaughn of Dickson, TN, La’Cole Pope, Brandon Pope, Winter Neff, Isaac Russell, great-granddaughter, Drelyn “Dre Dre”, aunt Eunice Hereford (Amos), special aunt Beatrice Holt, uncles, Robert Henry Sanders, Gene Sanders (Ruby), mother in law, Patricia Russell of Mt. Pleasant, TN, brother in law, Carlos Cambell of Mt. Pleasant, TN, a host of nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his special friend, Alex Aganowski, his fur babies, Bandit, Badger, Diesel, Harley, his DAFA House family and his MCC “Rare Bloods” family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 1 PM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bishop Dr. Terry L. Haynes will give the eulogy. Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Friday until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Worley Furnace Cemetery. https://taylorsince1909.com
