Randy Lynn Johnson, age 61 of Dickson, TN passed away on December 17, 2025.
Randy was born on May 21, 1964 in Dickson, TN. He was a son of the late Robin Johnson, Jr. and the late Margaret Daniel Johnson. Randy was a kind and generous man who would give his last dollar to help a friend. He like spending time at his “home away from home” – Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains. Randy was a hardworking man. He was a truck driver for 35 years. While driving, he was known as “Slab” on the cb radio. Slab loved driving truck #01, “he and that truck together were one.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Johnson; and his dog, Peanuts.
Randy is survived by his life long partner, Tammy Dawson; his son, John Johnson (Alyson); his grandson, Kaiden James Dawson; 2 sisters, Brenda Cathey (Bubba), and Glenda Sullivan (Carl); sister-in-law, Connie Johnson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Carl Sullivan officiating. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in the Edgewood Cemetery. https://taylorsince1909.com
