Shirley Mae Wilburn, age 81 of Dickson, TN, passed away on April 5, 2026, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. Shirley was born on May 29, 1944 in Hickman County, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Dallas Van Buren Mallady and the late Dillie Mae Bates.
She worked as a seamstress for 30 years at Red Kap Industries. She enjoyed being outdoors. She was an outstanding hunter, great at fishing and loved gardening.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Mallady; and a sister, Barbara Wilburn.
Shirley is survived by her companion of 39 years, Joe Martin; brother, Leonard Mallady; sister, Linda McCoy; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Rock Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. https://taylorsince1909.com
