Starr Hagewood was a remarkable soul who dedicated herself to her work at the Board of Education with unwavering passion and commitment. Her love for education shone brightly through her every action, inspiring those around her to reach for their dreams. She was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always ready to offer guidance and support to anyone in need.
Beyond her professional life, Starr found true joy in the time spent with her beloved grandchildren. The moments shared with them were the highlight of her days, filling her heart with immeasurable happiness and love. She treasured every laugh, every hug, and every precious memory created with them.
Starr’s adventurous spirit led her to find solace in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was coaching softball and basketball teams to victory or casting a line while fishing, she embraced it with open arms.
Visitation was from 12:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 26 and 10:00 – 1:00 pm Monday, May 27 at Spann Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Starr Elaine Hagewood was conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, May 27, 2024, in the Spann Funeral Home Chapel with Drew Williams officiating. Interment to follow in Hagewood and Hand Cemetery.
