On December 10, Dickson County EMA, TEMA, City of Dickson OEM, Claylick Fire Department and the White Buff Fire Department went to the Claylick and Cumberland Furnace communities to conduct initial storm damage assessments.

Nine properties have been destroyed, 17 have major damage, 29 have minor damage, & 13 were affected. This number may change, as they are initial assessments.

If you were affected by the Dec. 9, 2023 storm please fill out the following form https://forms.gle/ffiDDM9b7dfULrf1A.

If you sustained damage to your home, please contact Red Cross at 800-733-2767. Even if you don’t need help, this will help with the community assessment and the community as we begin the road to recovery.

Best ways to help after a disaster.
Unless you have a direct connection with someone impacted, wait until officials complete their assessment, donate financially to organizations that you trust, only donate specific items requested.

The Dickson County Help Center & Thrift Store is asking residents not to clean out their closets at this time. Instead, you should donate gift cards to restaurants, retail stores or for gas…most families are without electricity or staying in hotels, so they cannot cook, nor wash used clothes, etc.

Organizations like Red Cross, The Dickson County Help Center & Thrift Store, will provide gift cards and supplies for displaced families to meet their immediate needs.
