William “Bill” Gilbert Williams, 88 years of age, of Dickson, TN, passed away May 6, 2025, at Dickson Health and Rehab.
Bill was born April 5, 1937, in Dickson, TN, to the late Willie and Stacey (Edwards) Williams. Bill was with Dickson Cab Co. for 18 years. He loved people and loved talking with people. He loved fishing and loved his family. He always had his Bible and when driving he would have it in the back window of his car.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Williams; son, Billy Duane Williams; daughter, LaDonna Williams; and brother, Burnard Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Christy Prentice; son, Douglas Williams; grandchildren, Barbara Fulghum, Joshua Prentice, Meredith (Murph) Prentice, John Thomas Self, Candice Self, Caitlyn Slef, and Billy Payton Williams; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.
Visitation and Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 14, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Funeral service will be at 4:00 P.M. with Bro. Donnie Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Middle TN Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.
